Community Development Block Grant also known as CDBG is a program of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) which provides federal grant funds to the City of Livermore and other cities, counties and states throughout the nation. Over the last 25 years, CDBG dollars received by the City has supported various non-profit organizations and agencies serving Livermore residents.

Livermore City Council encourages in local citizen input into the CDBG funding process. Both the City Council and Human Services Commission hold regular public hearings in an attempt to obtain the widest possible input regarding Livermore’s community needs.
